Internment Service

July 21, 2010

On July 16th, the family gathered for an internment service at Holy Name Cemetery in Jersey City.

Two active Marines attended the ceremony.  Some of the kids held Marine flags.  Two of Gerry’s children also served in the Armed Services.  One of his Grandchildren is an Air Force Officer.

The family toasted Jerry’s life with cans of his favorite beer Schaefer.

After the service we gathered in Bayonne for (what else?) pizza and socializing.

And of course a photo op in front of the old 18th St. house.
